Quick Start Tutorial: Lio Price Browser
Note: This quick start guide will help you get up and running with Lio Price Browser in minutes.
Understanding the Main Tabs
Lio Price Browser is organized into four main tabs that you'll use for different tasks:
- Browser Tab: Browse shopping websites, detect products and track prices
- Tracked Items Tab: View all your tracked products and price history
- Bookmarks Tab: Access your saved shopping websites
- Settings Tab: Configure app behavior and preferences
Pro Tip: Begin by exploring the Browser tab to find products, then check the Tracked Items tab to monitor their prices over time.
Finding and Tracking Your First Product
Let's walk through the process of finding and tracking your first product's price:
Method 1: Using the Browser
- Tap the Browser tab at the bottom of the screen
- Enter a shopping website URL in the address bar (e.g., amazon.com, bestbuy.com)
- Navigate to a specific product page
- Tap the cart with plus icon in the top toolbar
- The app will scan the page and show detected products
- Select the product you want to track
- Confirm the product name or edit it if needed
- The product is now added to your tracked items
Method 2: Using Safari Integration
- Find a product while browsing in Safari
- Tap the Share button in Safari
- Select Lio Price Browser from the share sheet
- Choose Track Price from the options
- The page will open in Lio Price Browser
- Confirm the product detection and tracking
Method 3: Manual Price Selection
- If automatic detection doesn't work, browse to the product page
- Tap the dollar sign icon to enter Price Selection Mode
- Move your finger over the page to highlight price elements
- Tap on the correct price you want to track
- Enter a name for the product
- The product will be added to your tracked items
Viewing Your Tracked Items
Once you've added products, here's how to view and manage them:
- Tap the Tracked Items tab at the bottom of the screen
- You'll see all your tracked products with their current prices
- Use the view options at the top to organize by Category, Name, or Website
- Tap on any item to see its detailed price history
- Pull down on the list to refresh all prices
- Tap the refresh button next to an individual item to update just that price
Setting Up Price Alerts
Configure notifications to alert you when prices drop:
- Tap the Settings tab at the bottom of the screen
- Scroll to the Price Updates section
- Enable Price Drop Notifications
- Set your preferred Price Drop Threshold (e.g., 5%, 10%, 15%)
- Configure the Update Interval to control how often prices are checked
Important: More frequent price checks will use more battery. A reasonable interval is every 12-24 hours for most users.
Managing Bookmarks
Save your favorite shopping sites for easy access:
- While browsing a shopping site, tap the bookmark icon in the toolbar
- Enter a name for the bookmark and select a category
- Access your bookmarks by tapping the Bookmarks tab
- Create folders to organize bookmarks by tapping the + button in the Bookmarks tab
