Safari Integration Guide

Note: This guide explains how to use Safari integration with Lio Price Browser for seamless price tracking across both browsers.

Why Use Safari Integration?

Safari integration allows you to:

Setting Up Safari Integration

Before you can use the integration features, you need to enable the Lio Price Browser extension in Safari:

  1. Open Safari on your iOS device
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with an up arrow) while viewing any webpage
  3. Scroll through the bottom row of share options and tap Edit Actions
  4. In the list that appears, find Lio Price Browser
  5. Tap the toggle switch next to it to turn it ON
  6. Optionally, drag the Lio Price Browser icon to reposition it higher in your share options
  7. Tap Done to save your changes

Pro Tip: Place the Lio Price Browser option near the beginning of your share sheet for quicker access when shopping.

Sharing from Safari to Lio Price Browser

Once set up, you can use three different sharing options:

1. Track Price

Use this option when you find a product in Safari and want to track its price:

  1. Browse to a product page in Safari
  2. Tap the Share button
  3. Select Lio Price Browser from the share options
  4. Choose Track Price from the menu that appears
  5. The page will open in Lio Price Browser and automatically begin the price detection process
  6. Confirm the product details to add it to your tracked items

2. Add Bookmark

Use this option to save shopping sites to your bookmarks collection:

  1. Browse to a shopping website in Safari
  2. Tap the Share button
  3. Select Lio Price Browser
  4. Choose Add Bookmark
  5. Enter a name for the bookmark and select a category
  6. The site will be saved to your Bookmarks tab in Lio Price Browser

3. Open in Browser

Use this option when you simply want to continue browsing in Lio Price Browser:

  1. Browse to any webpage in Safari
  2. Tap the Share button
  3. Select Lio Price Browser
  4. Choose Open in Browser
  5. The page will open in Lio Price Browser without taking any additional actions

Accessing Safari Shared Links

Links you've shared from Safari appear in a special section of Lio Price Browser:

  1. Open Lio Price Browser
  2. Go to the Browser tab
  3. On the home screen, look for the From Safari section
  4. Tap any link to open that page
  5. Use the red delete button to remove links you no longer need

Note: Links in the "From Safari" section will be automatically removed when you track their prices or add them as bookmarks.

Troubleshooting Safari Integration

If you're having issues with Safari integration, try these solutions:

Extension Not Appearing in Share Sheet

  1. Make sure you've updated to the latest version of Lio Price Browser
  2. Check that you've opened the Lio Price Browser app at least once
  3. Restart your device and try again
  4. Go to Settings > Safari > Extensions to verify that Lio Price Browser is enabled

Sharing Not Working Correctly

  1. Make sure you have an active internet connection
  2. Try closing both Safari and Lio Price Browser completely and reopening them
  3. Check if any content blockers or privacy features are interfering
  4. Reinstall Lio Price Browser if persistent problems occur
