App Compatibility FAQ

Note: This FAQ covers common questions about device and OS compatibility for Lionardo's Workshop applications.

What are the minimum system requirements for your applications?

Our applications are designed to work on modern Apple devices. The specific requirements vary by application, but in general:

Application iOS Requirements macOS Requirements Other Requirements
Lio Browser iOS 14.0 or later macOS 11.0 or later 50MB free space

We strive to maintain compatibility with older devices while also taking advantage of the latest features in newer OS versions.

Will your apps work on my older iOS device?

It depends on the specific application and device. Here's a general guideline:

  • iPhone 6s and newer can typically run our applications (with the latest iOS they support)
  • iPad Air 2 and newer are compatible with most of our iPad apps
  • Devices that cannot update to at least iOS 13 may not be able to run our newest applications

You can check your device's iOS version in Settings > General > About, and compare it with the requirements listed in the App Store description for each app.

Pro Tip: For older devices, you might be able to download older versions of some of our apps if you've purchased them before. The App Store sometimes offers this option automatically.

Do your apps work on both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs?

Yes, all of our macOS applications are universal binaries that run natively on both Intel-based Macs and Apple Silicon Macs (M1, M2, and newer chips).

Our apps are optimized to take advantage of the performance benefits of Apple Silicon while maintaining full compatibility with Intel Macs. You'll get the best experience on Apple Silicon Macs, but Intel Mac users will still have excellent performance.

Do your apps work on Windows or Android devices?

Currently, our applications are exclusive to Apple platforms (iOS, iPadOS, and macOS). We do not offer versions for Windows, Android, or other non-Apple operating systems.

This exclusivity allows us to focus on creating the best possible experience for Apple users, taking full advantage of platform-specific features and optimizations.

We're continually evaluating platform support based on user feedback, so feel free to let us know if you'd like to see our applications on other platforms.

Will my purchase work across all my Apple devices?

Most of our applications use Apple's universal purchase system, which means:

  • A single purchase works across iPhone, iPad, and Mac (if available)
  • Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID
  • You can download the app on any compatible device signed in with your Apple ID

For older applications that don't use universal purchase, separate purchases may be required for iOS and macOS versions. The App Store listing will clearly indicate if an app supports universal purchase.

How often do you update your apps for new iOS/macOS versions?

We aim to update our applications for compatibility with new OS versions as quickly as possible:

  • Major updates to support new iOS/macOS versions are typically released within 1-2 weeks of the public OS release
  • Beta compatibility updates are often available during the public beta period for users testing new OS versions
  • We generally support the current and previous two major OS versions (e.g., if iOS 16 is current, we support back to iOS 14)

For the best experience, we recommend keeping both your device's operating system and our applications updated to the latest versions.

Important: Always check the App Store listing for the most up-to-date compatibility information before purchasing or downloading our applications.
